If you need to take a break or leave the game, please use this post to let us know! This is a basic courtesy to the mods, so players who frequently idle out will be barred from re-apping.

Since your character has been rescued from the Malice and restored by the Construct, their existence is somewhat tenuous. Due to that, characters may occasionally disappear in the night, taken back to the driver's car in order to treat potential corruption. This can explain both a hiatus and a drop -- the severity of corruption by Malice varies, and so does treatment time. Returning characters won't remember being gone -- it's as if they were just asleep. Dropped characters' personal items will disappear with them, but any upgrades or other customizations to their rooms (such as painting a wall) will remain, so new characters to an existing team should check the team page. Room upgrades will be marked by a number that matches the number next to your character on the taken list.

In order to be exempt from AC, your character must be hiatused for at least 3 weeks of the month. If you didn't hiatus but need an exemption for extenuating circumstances, please contact the mods privately.

If you'd like to canon update, take a hiatus of at least 1 IC day and note in your comment that you'd like to update. ICly, a canon update is the Construct recovering a greater amount of that character's person, including memories, powers, and physical appearance changes.
